Light Winter Guard Spin Camp Part Quatre
Spin Camp Sunday, October 18th from 1-4
Sunday October 18th from 1 PM to 4 PM, Light WG will be holding another spin camp. The camp is open to anyone with or without experience that enjoys color guard or wants to try it. There is never any pressure to join the winter guard. Classes will be offered in flag, rifle, saber, and dance.
If you have your own equipment please bring it. Also, please bring hand sanitizer or wipes, and of course a mask. Social distancing rules will be enforced and participants will be put in small groups. Everyone will have their temperature checked and will need to answer appropriate questions regarding COVID-19.
Please bring your own snacks and water which you will not share with anyone, Some classes will be held outside so be sure to wear sneakers and if the weather is cool, have a sweatshirt or jacket.
Camp is open to both girls and boys and participants should not be younger than 15. Students who have attended the previous three camps have really enjoyed the chance to have some fun and meet new people. If you are interested in attending please send an email or add yourself to the list on The Light Winter Guard’s Facebook page. We need to know our numbers so we can plan accordingly.
Social Distancing Spin Camp Part Deux
Sunday, August 23rd from 1 PM to 4 PM - Light Winter Guard will be holding another spin camp. Masks must be worn, hand sanitizer must be used, sanitizing wipes must be used, you may only drink your own water, and you need to stay away from each other on breaks. We had one Sunday, July 27th, and seemed to be a good idea. If you like color guard or winter guard, even if you are not interested in joining Light WG- you are still welcome to come out and spin with us.

A Historical Night
Today at the Council Rock South MAIN competition - we were promoted to A Class. We are no longer an IRA guard but an IA guard. We are over the moon about our promotion!!
Friday and Saturday January 10th and 11th
This Friday night will be our Secret Santa exchange before we have rehearsal. We may actually try to paint a small segment of the floor so we can see what it looks like before we do the entire floor.
Saturday’s rehearsal will be over at 11 AM due to church use.
Weekend of January 3rd
There is no practice this weekend because we have no place to practice - See you Monday night!!
Spaghetti Time
Saturday January 18th at Alive Church, Ephrata - we will be hosting our annual (big fundraiser) the spaghetti dinner. Everyone is expected to volunteer with serving, cleaning up, and setting up. There will be more information coming as plans are finalized.
A Merry Month of Donations
Ok so you are getting a late start, but you will probably see most of your family and friends over the next two weeks anyway. Some of you have already started doing this fundraiser - 31 days of donations. We took this idea from Black Watch World guard as they do this too. It is a really easy fundraiser and the largest amount of money someone has to give is $31.00. If you collect the amount of each day ( $1.00 on December 1st and so on through the entire month) you will make nearly $500.00 toward your dues. It will make more fundraising almost unnecessary! I will be given out December calendars Monday night at practice. They will be collected at the beginning of January.
Rehearsals Before Christmas
REHEARSAL SCHEDULE FOR THE WEEK OF DECEMBER 16TH
Monday December 16th - Alive Church - 6PM - 9PM
Friday December 20th - Alive Church - 6PM - 10PPM
Kim will be at both of these rehearsals to fill in the blocking that was taught at the last rehearsal. For those that missed that rehearsal you will have double the work to catch up. Please make every effort to attend these two rehearsals.
