Alive Winter Guards is now the umbrella for Alive Winter Guard and Barely Alive Sr Winter Guards. Alive Winter Guards was formerly Light Winter Guards. The name was changed to reflect the sponsorship from Alive Church. The guards are located at the Alive Church in Ephrata, PA in Northern Lancaster County. We are minutes away from the PA turnpike the exit for Reading, PA and about 45 minutes to an hour from the Harrisburg/York and the Chester County area
Our season begins in the summer with spin camps open to anyone interested in color guard even if they are not interested in becoming a member. We hold auditions in September and begin rehearsals after those are finished. Work on the show begins in the middle to the end of October. Alive competes in both WGI and the MAIN Circuit while Barely Alive competes in the MAIN Circuit.
Because we are sponsored by Alive Church, Ephrata, PA we do not have to pay for rehearsal space. Since we do not have to pay for rehearsal space, we are able to keep the dues lower than other places. We do provide various fundraising events and we encourage members to take advantage these opportunities. Any money paid in before the season begins is redeemable. After you are officially contracted you are not refunded any money. Except at the discretion of the Board of Directors.
Alive Church is very supportive of our groups and we are proud to represent the church when we go out to compete. Our members have always been grateful for their support and prayers!
