Alive Winter Guards is now the umbrella for Alive Winter Guard and Barely Alive Sr Winter Guards. Alive Winter Guards was formerly Light Winter Guards. The name change reflects the sponsorship by Alive Church. The home base for the groups is Alive Church in Ephrata, PA, and we are in Northern Lancaster County. We are minutes away from the PA turnpike at the Reading exit. We are about 45 minutes to an hour from the Harrisburg/York and the Chester County areas.

Our season begins in the summer with spin camps open to anyone interested in color guard, even if they are not interested in becoming a member. Alive Winter Guards hold auditions in the fall. The rehearsals for Barely Alive begin in October, and Alive Winter Guard begins in November. Alive competes in both WGI and the MAIN Circuit, while Barely Alive competes in the MAIN Circuit.

Due to our sponsorship by Alive Church in Ephrata, PA, we do not have to pay for rehearsal space. This allows us to have lower dues than many other groups. Our dues may vary from year to year depending on membership. The more members, the cheaper the dues. Over the past 11 years dues have usually been between $500.00 to $750.00. We provide various fundraising events encouraging members to take advantage of these opportunities. Any money paid before the commitment date is redeemable. Once you are officially contracted, your money is not refundable except at the discretion of the Board of Directors.

Alive Church is very supportive of our groups, and we are proud to represent the church. Our members have always been grateful for the church’s support and prayers!
